More than a hotel, our company Aoraki/Mount Cook Alpine Village Ltd offers a great range of accommodation and activities - including Hotel and Motel accommodation along with activities such as Trekking, Glacier Explorers and Stargazing tours. 

The Sales & Revenue Executive is responsible for managing client relationships with travel trade partners and holds responsibility for ensuring contracts, agent training and rates are managed in accordance with the AMCAVL sales and marketing strategic plan. This is a part time role, working 24 hours a week, responsible for the revenue management system, working in close conjunction with the Sales & Marketing Manager to maximise revenue opportunities. 

What your day will look like

  • Distribution of rates and contracts as set out by the Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Prepare quotations for any conference, incentive, wedding or general event enquiry
  • Professionally and efficiently manage travel trade relationships across all AMCAVL brands
  • Proactively work with agents to develop new series, products and drive exposure and promotional opportunities
  • Work with the Sales & Marketing Manager to analyse the business and provide dynamic pricing guidance and strategy.
  • Maintain account, contract, activity and business details in the appropriate software application 
  • Work alongside the activities department to actively promote the activities and drive growth through inbound, retail, and wholesale operators
  • Daily/weekly/monthly pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting
  • Create and develop pricing strategies in conjunction with seasonality
  • Responsible for assessing, analysing and pricing group business strategies
  • Analyze overall monthly hotel performance and provide a summary report with recommendations to improve long-term strategies
  • Drive offshore training and sales events as per the sales plan
  • Represent AMCAVL at trade events such as TRENZ as required and directed by the Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Undertake weekly/monthly/statistic reporting as per requirements
  • Assist the reservations team with making reservation bookings and answering emails as required

You must have

  • Tertiary qualification in related discipline an advantage
  • Experience in a similar supervisory or management position within revenue and / or sales
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong time management
  • Reliable and committed to the role long term
