We are seeking applicants with a proven commitment to the overall guest experience and the ability to work hard and remain positive under pressure in a team environment. We have opportunities for both experienced and rookie groomers.
About the role
Carrying out grooming requirements as per the request of the Team Leader
Operating groomers, which can include general free grooming, winch grooming and terrain park maintenance
Pre-operator checks and fault diagnosis
Maintain slopes, chairlift loads, unloads and base areas to an exceptional standard
About You
Working knowledge of heavy machinery and a strong mechanical aptitude
A strong motivation to work in a small team remaining flexible to the variabilities of the environment
Responsible, reliable and professional
Good safety record and able to supply references to this effect.
Applicants must be comfortable working in an alpine environment in a variety of weather conditions
Previous exposure to night shift work would be considered an advantage.
An understanding that employment is subject to the vagaries of the weather and the hours of work cannot be guaranteed
Experienced and rookie roles available
Skills and Qualifications
Applicants must be able to show they have previous experience of operating heavy machinery (a minimum of 400 hours)
A NZ class 2 license with a T (self-laying tracks) endorsement.
Good knowledge of ski area snow conditions and the ability to ski or snowboard in all weather conditions on all-terrain is an advantage.
