Schools & Groups Booking Coordinator - Mt Hutt

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals that have previous experience in administration, with first-class organisational and communication skills.

If you are adept at working with last minute changes, without compromising guest experience, whilst demonstrating a great commitment to customer service, and have experience in working with community based programmes, then you may be the very person we are looking for!

We look after the bookings for school groups and non-profit groups from all over New Zealand and Australia every season at Mt Hutt. To ensure the best experience for all of our groups, this involves a lot of planning, coordination and effective communication.

As a Schools & Groups Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the entire booking process for all large groups that visit our mountain.

What you will be doing

  • Process bookings for school groups: from initial enquiry, organising all visit details, hosting on the day, and account reconciliation.
  • Build strong inter-departmental relations including our Snowsports, Rentals, Food and Beverage, Transport, Patrol, Finance, and Administration teams in order to provide a world class experience and product for all our group guests.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our guests and group coordinators.
  • Assure accurate and timely account reconciliation for all group visits in advance of their visits.
  • Manage different databases and account information efficiently

About You

  • At least 2 years front line customer service experience with a proven commitment to the guest service experience.
  • Previous experience processing and managing client bookings and accounts on a large scale.
  • The ability to follow procedures and absorb and communicate large quantities of information.
  • A passion in learning about ski industry products and pricing (full training will be given).
  • Comfortable working both inside as well as outside in a variety of alpine weather conditions.
  • Calm under pressure, with the ability to adapt to quickly changing situations.
  • Dynamic social and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of NZ school systems and health and safety requirements (desired but not essential).

Further Information

  • Valid work visa required. Work sponsorship option not available
  • This is a full time, fixed term position from early June to Mid October
